Sam Ward
Position: Head Coach

Sam founded TIKA in a little tin shed in 2011 & has since developed the TIKA Training System, which is fast becoming the most respected training regime in New Zealand. He’s an excitable chap who has worked with a massive range of people and with a background in coaching, loves to teach technique and motivate people to get outside their comfort zone. Sams sessions will provide you with a massive lift in energy, technical coaching not found in other classes, and a tough training environment for any fitness level.

Robert Berridge
Position: Boxing Coach

Robert ‘The Butcher’ Berridge is New Zealands best pound for pound boxer and like Sam, ran his own ‘grassroots’ gym in 2010. He is rapidly climbing through the world boxing ranks and is the current WBO #10 Light heavyweight in the world. Robs sessions provide technical coaching, awesome fitness, & a highly motivational training environment only a world-class athlete could create.

Jed Smethurst
Position: Physiotherapist

Since Jed joined the TIKA Crew they’ve been moving quicker, recovery faster, and generating plenty of power. He has worked with a number of teams associated with Auckland Hockey, Harbour Rugby, Counties Rugby League and of course, TIKA. Jed will sort out any minor issues you have right up to major rehabilitation efforts.
